It is officially the best week of the year for the city of Augusta – Masters Week! While some refer to it as spring break, Augusta residents and golf fans alike are proud to be a part of Masters Week. The city gets cleaned up and filled with beautiful flowers, tourists flood in from all around the world and residents are proud to be in such a historic city. Whether you’re here on a visit for the tournament or stayed home for the break and need something to do, check out some of the fun events our city is hosting in honor of golf’s biggest week!

 

Augusta Mayor’s Masters Reception, Monday, April 8

In the heart of downtown Augusta at the Augusta Common, Masters Week kicks off with the Mayor’s Masters Reception. This is a family-friendly event with great food, music and mingling with some of the greatest contributors to the game of golf. This event will be from 5:00-9:00 and tickets are $10.

 

Rock Fore! Dough

The 15th anniversary of Drive for Show, Rock Fore! Dough returns to the First Tee of Augusta off of Damascus Road this year. This popular show takes place the Tuesday night of Masters Week every year, so it will happen on April 9. It has raised over $1.6 million to support youth golf programs at the First Tee of Augusta to truly grow the game! Tickets can be found at local banks and stores around town or can be purchased at the gate the day of the event. This year, Darius Rucker and Josh Kelley will be headlining.

 

Partee on the Green

Wednesday, April 10 brings the famous Par 3 Partee on the Green at the Augusta Common at 5:00. This will be a dance party for all ages with various types of music and performances as well as multiple vendors. Admission is just $5 at the gate.

 

The Major Rager presents Bushwood and Boots

The famous Zac Brown Band with other guests will be making an appearance at the Evans Towne Center Park on Thursday, April 11. Gates will open at 4:30 with the show beginning at 6:00. Multiple tiers of tickets are available online and at the gate.

 

Leann Rimes at the Culinary Kickoff

If classic country in an intimate setting is more your type, the historic Enterprise Mill will be hosting music legend Leann Rimes for an evening of food, wine and great live music. This even is also taking place on April 11 and tickets can be found online. The Veteran Golfers Association is putting on this evening and a culinary experience will be provided by award-winning chef Todd English.

 

Augusta at Night

In the midst of the serious tournament weekend, SRP Park in North Augusta will host a fun evening on Friday, April 12. Augusta at Night brings music, food and a golf experience. This year’s headliners will be Grammy winner Sheryl Crow and Hootie and the Blowfish! You don’t want to miss this memorable night.
