What’s Hot in Outdoor Living

Are you finding yourself at home more than ever? Why not take the time to enjoy the great outdoors around your house? If outdoor projects have been on your mind, check out these ideas and get ready for the warm sun to hit.

Garden Room

A garden room will give you indoor coziness with outdoor nature. It can be a pricey and time-consuming project, but the finished product and the joy it brings will be worth it. It can be as simple as placing a bench in your yard and surrounding it with tall plants or as extravagant as building a tall structure of closely-positioned trees to walk through and sit in.

Outdoor Bar

If you’re crafty and know a few construction basics, spend some time putting a bar together in your backyard. A small refrigerator or wine color would be optional but even a small counter space with a few outdoor stools would be great!

Flexible Furnishings

Nervous to commit to a heavy, expensive patio set? Try more hanging pieces such as hammocks or large swings. If you would rather have a couch or sectional, search for something modular with pieces that you can switch it up when you please.

Cool Off

Families with small children will especially enjoy this addition to the backyard. If your HOA does not allow the installation of pools, get creative with a splash pad or a deluxe sprinkler system where everyone will enjoy running around. This is the perfect option if you can’t make it to the neighborhood pool every day but still need a way to cool down!

Plant Beds

Plant beds are a great way to exercise your green thumb and the warmer months are the perfect time to experiment. There are multiple tutorials online to build your own, but you can purchase them from home improvement stores as well. Find flowers, fruits, vegetables and herbs that interest you and you’ll be a gardener in no time.
