Fall Porch Decor

Fall means all things cozy. The front porch is generally meant to be a welcoming area and can easily be decorated for the season, sometimes with minimal effort. Try a few of these stylish and simple ideas to spruce up your porch for flannel season: 

Go All Out 

If you prefer to be more of a “maximalist” than a minimalist and fall is your favorite season, go all out! Spread pumpkins of all shapes, colors and sizes around the porch and accessorize your front door with a leafy wreath full of earth tones. 

Throw Some Cozy 

If you have a bench, chairs or other seating on your front porch, add some cozy throw blankets or pillows for fall. It will help add warmth (figuratively and literally) to your welcoming atmosphere. You can also display them folded on a wooden ladder to show the variety of patterns and colors. 

Use a Pretty Hay Bale

A hay bale is an easy way to add texture to your fall decor. It can be displayed on its own or spruced up with decorative fall accents like signs, pumpkins, and dried corn.

Your usual porch plants don’t have to disappear and be completely replaced with pumpkins this fall. Tall planters filled with lush greenery can actually complement a pumpkin assortment in an unexpected way. 

Stay Simple

There is absolutely nothing wrong with desiring a more muted and minimal look for your porch. Add a simple throw to the bench and a few pumpkins for a stylish, yet easy and inexpensive look.

Try saying that five times fast! If you’re using real pumpkins, empty them out completely and add fall florals and succulents for a unique look that allows for the beauty of a classic garden to be mixed with a fall staple.

Whether you purchase one from your favorite home decor store or choose to DIY, look for a fall-themed phrase that would be cute on a welcome mat for your front door. Think simple phrases such as “Hey Pumpkin” or “Happy Fall, Y’all”!
