Tankless water heaters have been in existence for a long time. And despite their benefits, they are still not in widespread use! We will examine how these space-saving machines can save money and help you use hot water more efficiently.

Tankless Water Heaters Save You Money

Since tankless water heaters don’t have to store water anywhere, they use less water than traditional tank heaters. And since you’re using less water, you’re paying less on your water bill.

Tankless Water Heaters Have No Heat Loss

With tank water storage systems, you constantly have to wait for the water to warm up, no matter how you use it. With a tankless system, there is no wait time. You flip your faucet to hot water, and your water will be warm within a few seconds.

A tank heater will have you waiting a few minutes before it warms up to the right temperature. And what’s worse is that the older a tank heater gets, the longer you will have to wait to get your warm water.

Plus, you must consider the distance traveled from the tank to your faucet. The hot water may take more time if you are on the opposite side of the house from the water heater.

Tankless Water Heaters Take Up Less Space

Imagine you have a decent size storage room. However, when you open the door, this huge tank takes up the space. Suddenly your storage room has much less storage than you thought it would.

With a tankless water heater, you free up a lot of space. Why? Because your new heater is going to be mounted right on your wall! That means more space for your home.

Tankless Water Heaters are Eco-Friendly

The planet has been going through a lot of changes lately. And we all know Mother Earth can use some help right now. We also know that having a green home saves you money. And having a tankless water heater can help.

Since tankless heaters are on-demand and only heat water when you turn a faucet on, you’re using much less water than you would be using with a tank water heater. The U.S. Department of Energy reported that tankless water heaters are 34 percent more energy efficient. So, having a tankless water heater can lower your carbon footprint if you are worried about your climate impact.

Are There Any Downsides to Tankless Water Heaters?

Well, yes. There are three types of tankless water heaters: electric, gas, and propane. Some electric tankless water heaters require up to 160 amps of power, meaning you need a home that produces 200 amps or more electric power.

You also can’t install any tankless water heater on your own. You need to help of a professional to do it, which can cost anywhere from three hundred to one thousand dollars. Gas tankless heaters also require you to increase the diameter of the water heater pipe to the gas meter, which might cost you extra.

Do Some Homes Come with Tankless Water Heaters?

Yes! There are homes in the Augusta area with tankless water heaters already installed. All Bill Beazley Homes in Clearwater Preserve have tankless water heaters installed! The company’s mission is to make homes more energy efficient and green.
