Our Design Center allows you to customize any one of our floor plans to truly make it your own. Our design team will assist you as you select colors, styles, and finishing items such as cabinetry and flooring. You will also personalize the exterior of your home with selected brick, stone, shake, paint, siding, and roofing colors.
More than just a library full of catalogs, our Design Center offers a huge selection of sample carpets, tile and countertops. You’ll be able to actually see, touch and feel many of the products that will contribute to making our home your new home.
Anything that is different from the original agreement or an alteration from the blueprints that your new house was priced from is considered a change.
We go to great lengths to minimize the need for change orders. During the design process, we listen carefully until we understand your vision for your new home. Each construction detail is communicated in writing on the plan and in the construction documents. We do not start construction until everyone understands the details of the contract and plans and signs off on them.
However, it is not uncommon for a new homeowner to want to add or change something after construction has started…a different paint color, floor covering, light fixture, toilet or appliance. You may learn of a new item that’s become available while your home’s being built. You may see something during a site visit that wasn’t visualized during design. Some changes may be required by the building inspector and must be made before your project can continue.
To assure your ultimate satisfaction and to reduce the chance for misinterpretation, we require that all requests for changes be made in writing on a form we provide. Click on the link below to print this form.
Even one small change can disrupt the flow of work, and a series of small changes will most certainly affect the construction schedule. Every change, no matter how small, will add time to the home-building process. The amount of time will be determined by how many changes you make and how extensive they are.
We are unable to make any changes to the basic construction of your home after framing has begun. No changes may be made during the five weeks prior to your closing date.
Changes can be expensive. Picking out a different paint color or carpet that costs the same may not add anything unless it’s done at a time after the other material or supplies have been purchased. On the other hand, structural changes and alterations can be potentially costly in both time and money. There are many hours of behind the scenes administration and on-site coordination to ensure a change gets implemented.
Unless additional funds have been included in your construction loan to pay for them, you will need to pay for changes as they occur.
To assure your complete satisfaction with your new home, we will consider all change requests and do our best to implement them to your satisfaction
