3 Easter Egg Hunts in the Central Savannah River Area

Believe it or not, Easter is right around the corner. If the holiday is sneaking up on you this year, there’s no need to worry. Over the next week, there will be plenty of annual events celebrating the holiday, and what better way to celebrate Easter than an Easter egg hunt? They are obviously extremely popular around this time of the year since it’s such an Easter-specific tradition. While the process of finding hidden eggs and earning prizes can be fun for the whole family, organizing one yourself can be both an extremely stressful and tedious process. For that reason, here are 3 different Easter egg hunters in the Central Savannah River Area to attend with your kids, friends, or family.   

April 13th: Alligator Egg Hunt  

This unique take on the classic egg hunt is a great option if you’re looking for a new take on the classic Easter egg hunt this year. Pre-registration is required for this event, so if you’re interested make sure you act fast! 

Tickets are $15 per child and are for children up to age 5. The event runs on April 13th, 2022 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. or 2 p.m. to 3:30 at Phinizy Swamp Nature Park located at 1858 Lock and Dam Road in Augusta, GA. It will include the egg hunt as well as games and other activities geared towards toddlers. You can visit this website for tickets and more information.   

April 16th: SWAT Foundation Easter Egg Hunt  

This event is perfect for the entire family and will include a multitude of activities such as food, music, a petting zoo, and more! It’s free to attend and even will feature an appearance from none other than the Easter Bunny. Taking place the day before Easter Sunday, this is a great event to add to your weekend plans of celebration.  

If you’re interested in the egg hunt, it starts at 11:30 a.m., and will have over 3,000 eggs to find. Make sure to bring your own basket to collect your Easter eggs in! Running until 1 p.m., it will take place at Kroc Center Field located at 1865 Broad Street in Augusta, GA.  

April 17th: Fatty Masha’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt  

Featuring free food, drinks, and other free goodies, this is a perfect family-friendly way to spend Easter afternoon if you don’t already have an extravagant afternoon planned. There are games, prizes, and more to be had at this event. It will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Pendleton King Park, 1600 Troupe Street in Augusta, GA.
