Places in the CSRA that Go All Out for St. Patrick’s Day

If you are looking for something to do locally to enjoy St. Patrick’s Day this year, take a look at these events happening around the CSRA: 

Shamrock-and-Roll Golf Cart Parade and Festival

To celebrate early, head to Glenn Phillips Park on S Hicks Street in Harlem on Saturday, March 12 from 11:00 am-3:00 pm. The Harlem Merchant’s Association is hosting the family-friendly event that will include a golf cart parade, bouncy house, horse riding, face painting, music, Irish dance company performances, food vendors and more. 

Pet Adoption, Love and Health Event

Another early St. Patrick’s Day celebration will be taking place on March 12 at Timms Harley-Davidson of Augusta on Belair Frontage Road beginning at 9:00 am. There will be a St. Patrick’s themed pet adoption, love and health event with vendors and raffles. Proceeds benefit local pets through the Canine Pawsabilities organization. 

Augusta St. Patrick’s Day Parade

Downtown Augusta will host their annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade beginning at 2:00 pm. After a 2 year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, local residents will be excited to celebrate again with the community. It will start at the 7th Street James Brown Arena parking lot and run through Telfair, 11th, Broad, then down to 6th street and return to the arena parking lot. 

St. Patrick’s Day Festival

Immediately following the downtown parade, a free festival will be taking place at the Augusta Common. This family-friendly event will be put on by Friends with Benefits Productions partnered with the Irish-American Heritage Society and the City of Augusta. 

Shamrock Shuffle

Fleet Feet Augusta will be hosting a “Shamrock Shuffle” fun run beginning at 6:00 pm. Runners will meet behind Your Pie on Georgia Avenue to begin.
